Beautiful early 19th Century Buckley pottery Jug from Flintshire North Wales. has the famous Buckley Black glaze to 3/4 of the body which is a wonderful Plum colour and is fully glazed on the inside. The body is a heavy thick Terracotta full of inclusions, the are a few chips and nibbles but given theses were viewed as utensils they had a hard life and is a true survivor of early Welsh vernacular pottery. Has that lovely rustic charm and would make a fabulous vase.
