The Heart of an 18th Century French Kitchen
Step back in time with this stunning, authentic Antique French Terracotta Bowl. Handmade in Southwest France in the 18th century, this piece epitomises the original French Country aesthetic.
This is a true workhorse from the farmhouse kitchen, originally used for everything from dairy preparation and making bread to preparing confit. Crafted in thick, heavy terracotta, it features a classic shape with a beautifully formed pouring lip.
The bowl is finished in an unusual and attractive Olive Green glaze. As you'd expect on an authentic piece of this age, the glaze features natural runs that extend to the inside of the bowl and drips over the rim. The texture and wear on the outside of the bowl tell the story of its long working life, adding incredible character and a genuine touch of originality.
As part of our commitment to an ethical business, we ensure our antiques are responsibly sourced, helping to preserve their rich history. All packaging for this treasure is made from 100% recycled materials.
