A Piece of Italian Maiolica Art
Bring the artistry of Umbria, Italy, into your home with this magnificent antique Deruta faience tobacco jar, dating from the late 19th century (c.1880–1900).
Crafted in traditional tin-glazed earthenware (maiolica), this generously sized jar is a fine example of Deruta's famous artistry. It features intricate hand-painted floral scrolls and shell motifs in a stunning palette of deep cobalt blue, rose, and green. The bold cobalt script across the front proudly labels its former contents: "PORTORICO."
