Swedish 19th Century Wovern Coverlet

Beautiful Antique 19th Century Swedish Overshot Coverlet dating from the 1830s to 1880s

Two piece center seam construction sewn salvage to salvage with the raw edges bound. Woven in a wool Linen mix of a wool Warp and Linen Weft. A lovely strong and bold geometric design in Green, Blue, Red and Mustard. Overall in super condition with the colours still bright, there is slight fraying in places to the bound edge and a small split on the center seam where the stiching has come unbound but this can be easily resewn. A fantastic example of a 160 year old  antique Swedish folk art textile.
