This is a lovely French 19th century Provencal Walnut oil jar,simple and rustic. Free from chips and cracks . Caramel dribble glaze over the top of a buff Terracotta with a beautful apple cream glaze to the neck and lip. Virtually every French kitchen of years past required a utilitarian pottery vessel to store the most essential of ingredients – high quality and locally pressed Walnut oil.
