A striking, hand thrown traditional pottery jug from Tamegroute in southern Morocco. Celebrated worldwide for its iconic, multi-toned green glaze and rugged artisanal form, this sculptural vessel adds a vibrant burst of organic character to any neutral, modern rustic home.
THE RUSTIC SHELF
Giving a beautiful future to pieces with a past.
Crafted by local artisans in the Draa Valley using centuries old traditional techniques, this authentic jug displays a wonderfully organic form and incredible visual weight. The rich green glaze, ranging from deep moss and olive tones to lighter translucent shades, pools and flows naturally across the surface, meaning no two pieces are ever identical.
Fired in traditional wood fired kilns using a signature copper oxide blend, the jug bears beautiful firing marks, glaze runs, and subtle irregularities. These are not flaws, but the proud hallmarks of true vernacular craftsmanship. Featuring an elegant tapering body, a generous pouring lip, and a sturdy handle, it looks spectacular styled on a kitchen island, open shelving, or paired alongside bright citrus fruit.
